Eyes & Their Relationship To Rider Biomechanics

The decision to focus on eyes and gaze to such an extent came from a group desire to work our way through the structure of the body and look at the different relationships to the nervous system.

In many ways, starting with the seat/ pelvis can seem the most intuitive place to start but I decided to begin with the eyes for this reason:

The habitual position of our eyes and gaze has flow on effects to the rest of the body. If our eyeline and jaw are tilted down, the head puts pressure down through the shoulder girdle and rib cage, which makes it challenging to change things up at the level of the pelvis and lower body.

Working with the eyes starts to help us reconfigure that pressure relationship overall, making it easier to effect change overall.
