A 4-part Zoom series exploring eyes, gaze, and nervous system state, shaping how you see, feel, and move through the world.

Our eyes are navigating the world in ways they were never designed for. We’re spending increasing amounts of time focused on screens, drawn into narrow fields of vision, and absorbing sensory information at a pace faster than we can truly process.

Because of the intimate connection between our eyes, gaze, and nervous system state, this impacts us in ways that often go unnoticed. Working with our horses in an effective and compassionate way relies on the ability to maintain soft focus—to hold peripheral awareness, to observe without triggering a fight-flight response, and to sustain a gaze that supports healthy biomechanics and full-body function.

Whether you’re riding, in conversation, or simply learning something new, the placement of your eyes and the quality of your gaze are constantly shaping your internal state, perception, and sense of presence.

In this series, we’ll explore these dynamics through a mix of gentle movement, body mapping, and nervous system-based practices.

Together, we’ll bring attention to:

  • The bony cradle of the eyes, the socket, and the eyeball itself
  • How different modes of gaze and eye contact influence regulation and reactivity
  • The stress and dissociative patterns that can soften through intentional visual attention
  • Ways to restore coordination, balance, and a more integrated sense of self

This series is for you if:

✨ You’re curious how your gaze and eye contact relate to nervous system adaptability

✨ You want more depth and clarity around how your eyes influence your emotional state and physical patterns

✨ You’ve noticed changes in your vision or perception or spend long hours in front of screens

✨ You’re seeking movement-based and somatic tools to support nervous system health

✨ You crave guided practices that go beneath your cognitive understanding to access deeper layers of nervous system shift

✨ You’re exploring the role of gaze in compassionate, relational horse training

✨ You want fresh tools for regulation—beyond the usual breathwork and mindset techniques

Each week includes:

  • A live, one-hour Zoom session (movement- and practice-based)
  • Prompts to explore during your week—both in and out of the saddle
