Over the last little while, my business has expanded and I need someone with initiative, enthusiasm and drive to help me stay on top of things (and grow and expand even further.)

  • Before that you think this possibly might be you, it’s important to know this: I’m a fast mover when it comes to my work. The type that gets an idea in the middle of the night and is totally on it the next morning. I don’t expect you to be chained to your desk by any means but I want someone who’s happy to work in a similar way, and to roll with what comes up from moment to moment.

That said, here’s the dealio.

  • I’m looking for a (potentially) long term Assistant/creative ideas person/ social media person of awesomeness (I’m happy for you to change up this name to whatever works for you) for an initial period of three months.

  • I’m super passionate about my work and with the exception of a few things, I do most of everything myself up until now. I realise, however, this is not the most productive way to do things but at the same time it’s hard for me to give up control. I’m looking for someone to work from the inside out- who is interested in the work and has ideas about how to expand it so that we can help more people (and their horses).

  • I work very hard to constantly educate myself and I treat everyone with care and compassion. The people I work with are super important to me and it’s vital that anyone who comes on board holds them with the same degree of love and regard that I do. If you use the phrase “ I don’t like people” very regularly, this is probably not for you. Granted, it can get peopley out there but I do love those human-ey people, and I kinda want you to feel the same.

  • Ideally, you would be interested and familiar with the work that I do, have experience in social media and communications and have a level of proficiency with the tech required in the online business world.

  • I’m really particular about my work and what I send out into the world. I may not have it all laid out on paper but it’s all up there in my head. In terms of content, I will be doing the writing, producing and the majority of the interacting. If there are things left with you, they will run past me first. Not because I don’t think you’re awesome but because whatever I send out there is my responsibility and consequently, I want my eyeballs to have seen what’s produced.

The Hours

I don’t have a defined idea about this. I envisage it being a part-time role, anywhere between 10-20 hours per week (I’m thinking to start at 10 and we can take it from there).

I’m wanting to spend some time at the start working things out between us so we can get better organised and have a good workflow happening.

You can apply from any time zone. I live in New Zealand so that’s something you may need to be aware of.

I’m really dedicated to my business and would love you to feel the same, but I’m also flexible around your commitments and passions as long as that’s something we are up front about (so I can organise myself accordingly).

The Pay

$20 USD an hour (salary commensurate with experience), approximately 10-20 hours a week.

To Apply...

Heads up: I don’t expect you to be perfect and I think I am a pretty ok person to work with and get along with. If you think you fit in some way then hit me up- I’d really like to hear from you.
