real connection

Think, Feel, Move & Ride Differently.

Move beyond habits that keep you tight, tense, and second-guessing — and find ease, confidence, and connection with your horse

You don’t need more tips, tricks or hacks.

You need to understand how your body and nervous system work together- both on the ground and in the saddle.

JoyRide Will Give You...

Whether you’re returning, rebuilding, or refining, JoyRide helps you create real, lasting change in how you move and ride.

I joined Joyride because I wanted to learn how to help my nervous system function in an appropriate way. I was experiencing anxiety in a lot of situations including riding, driving a car, going to the supermarket, the list goes on. And not only did I find tools to work with, I found a whole new way of relating to my body, trusting my body and myself and accepting myself as I am. I found a safe space with the most wonderful and supportive people where I can ask any question without feeling stupid. The way I view health and well-being has changed completely. My anxiety levels have gone down significantly to where I don’t feel affected in my everyday life anymore! And I only joined 5 months ago. I most highly recommend experiencing it for yourself.

JoyRide has been one of (if not THE) most important thing I have done for my mental and physical well-being. It has made me a better daughter, friend, wife, sister and partner to my animals. I am a FAR better rider and am able to use my body to harmonize with my horses. It has helped me untangle from unhelpful patterns that kept coming up again and again. Physically, it has relieved me of chronic back and hip pain. I have been on this Journey for 20 months and I am still learning about the wonders of my body every day. I am so thankful for it.

🧭 Upcoming Series

🌟 Things To Come Back To: A Working List of What Helps (Jan 16)

This is a hands-on session focused on creating a personal reference you can return to throughout the year.

This is not a planning session or a values exercise. It’s about noticing what’s important to and for you and making it visible.

We’ll begin with a short sensing sequence, followed by a few brief warm-up exercises to get you thinking and writing.

From there, we’ll work through a series of practical prompts designed to help you identify signals, supports, and patterns you can come back to when things feel off or demanding, as well as what is a “wellness priority” for you.

The emphasis is on clarity and usefulness rather than completeness. You’ll leave with working notes (rather than a finished document) and a reference you can add to, revise, and rely on over time.

🌟 28 Day Pathway: Advanced Basics of Nervous System Response (Jan 30)

A 28-day practical pathway focused on developing real-time responsiveness and adaptability.

This practice plan works with applied understandings of the nervous system to support you in sensing what’s happening, adjusting on the fly, and responding appropriately to the moment you’re in rather than defaulting to habit, urgency, or overwhelm.

The emphasis is on fundamentals you return to again and again: sensing, energetic expression, and noticing how emotions, feelings, and mood influence choice both with your horse & in everyday situations.

🌟 The Experience of Emotion: From Reflex To Response (TBA)

A focused pathway exploring emotion as a physical and energetic experience, and how it influences action.

This work builds emotional agility by increasing your capacity to feel what’s present without short-circuiting into reflex, compulsion, or collapse. You’ll learn to recognise activating and dampening emotional states, stay with experience inside the edges of your skin, and allow action to arise from choice rather than urgency.

The emphasis is on containment and clarity, supporting you to remain organised under emotional load and respond deliberately in demanding moments.

🌟 The Capacity to Adventure: Stretching the Edges of the Familiar (TBA)

A nervous-system-friendly approach to expanding your comfort zone through lived experience.

This pathway reframes adventure as a skill you build over time. Through small, deliberate challenges, you’ll gently widen your window of capacity, allowing new experiences to settle, integrate, and become new normals without overwhelm.

Plus — access the full Pelvis and Shoulder Girdle Mapping Series, available on demand.

So, how does JoyRide work?

JoyRide is a monthly membership that helps you feel more stable in your body, clear in your mind, and confident in the saddle — through movement education, nervous-system tools, and real-time support.

You’ll get a mix of:

  • Live workshops and weekly Q&A sessions where you can get help with what’s happening right now.
  • Private podcast series and bite-sized challenges that give you short, practical practices you can do anywhere.
  • An on-demand library of movement sessions and nervous-system resources to explore at your own pace.
  • A supportive community of riders working on the same thing.

Everything’s online and designed to fit into real life.

You can join live, listen on the go, or pick up what you need when you need it.

I started Joyride because I had gotten scared of riding, and wanted to feel safe in the saddle again. Little did I know that I stepped into an immense opportunity of not only becoming a more confident rider, but also healing pains I have suffered since a young age, that no other method had managed to change more than temporarily. Also my relationship with my horse, and everyone around me has become much more sincere, and fulfilling.

Have we met?

Hi! I'm Jane.

I help riders understand what’s happening beneath the surface — in their bodies, their nervous systems, and their habits — so they can ride with more ease and confidence.

For the past 15 years, I’ve supported riders to move past fear and anxiety, release tension, and rediscover the joy of being in partnership with their horse.

JoyRide is a space where that understanding becomes practice — where you learn to feel steadier, move more freely, and enjoy your riding again.

I can't wait to adventure with you in JoyRide!

If you're still reading, there's something holding you back.

You may be asking yourself...

No! JoyRide is for you no matter what your skill level or experience, regardless of your discipline or interest, and for competitors and non-competitors alike. No matter what “sort” of rider you consider yourself to be, you will be welcomed, embraced and supported through this process.

When you sign up, you are free to cancel at any time. Please note, I don’t refund payments for changes of mind (and will do my best to make sure you get the most out of it possible!).

This question is more common than you would think, and the answer is no. The work will do together begins away from your horse and gets you to a place where you feel more confident and resilient to deal with what presents. If you are on an enforced break, are coming back from injury, don’t have your own horse or anything in between, you will still benefit from and be able to apply this work.

No! We have JoyRide members from literally all over the world. The content is all online, so as long as you have an internet connection, you are good to go!

All live sessions are recorded and available for you later, so if for some reason life or time differences don’t allow you to attend in the moment, you can watch them when you are ready and able!

JoyRide is entirely self-paced, and there is certainly no expectation from my end about where you should be up to when. Much of the work is applied and experiential; it’s a way of going about life and riding rather than something you do separate to life and riding.

I appreciate that everyone has full and busy lives and have done my best to offer the information and experiences in ways that are achievable and doable.

Plus, any live sessions we do are recorded and available for you when you are able to get to them.

Fear not! This is not an online program where you are left to your own devices and have to figure it out alone. As part of your membership, you have access to the member’s only Facebook group. I am super hands on there, so if you let me know what’s up, I will do my best to sort it out for you.

The clue’s in the name! JoyRide really is a joyful approach to life and living. Hadn’t really realised just how much time I spent living in my head, over-analysing things, finding it hard to make decisions, listening to past ‘stories’ of my life that really didn’t need to influence my future, or my body/mind. When you are like this, it is really a leap of faith to jump in to something completely new and just give it a go, as Jane with all her knowledge, wisdom and humour advises. But it is so worth it.
